- Sustainability certifications, awards and memberships
The maturity rank is based on a company's overall maturity score compared to other companies in the same industry (over 50 companies) in Illuminem's database. Higher maturity result in a higher rank.
Companies at the early stage of their sustainability journey are usually just starting to recognize the importance of sustainability. Their goals are often compliance-driven, cost-saving, or reputation-based, rather than deeply integrated into their core business strategy. Example solutions include services to comply with regulations, compliance software, consulting services, energy management & efficiency to reduce cost, certifications etc.
Companies with high sustainability maturity have deeply integrated sustainability into their core strategy and view it as a competitive advantage. Sustainability is not just a compliance requirement but a business driver that aligns with long-term value creation.
