The U.S. Federal Trade Commission ordered the company in 2024 to pay a $3.17 million civil penalty, the largest ever in a 'Made in USA' case, for continuing to advertise multiple product lines as Americanmade when they were in fact manufactured in China and other countries, in violation of a prior 2020 FTC order over the same type of countryoforigin mislabelling.
