In 2023, Fiskars Group achieved a 56% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to the base year 2017, and a 46% reduction in Scope 3 transportation emissions from the 2018 base year, surpassing their 2030 target for transportation emissions. The reduction in transportation emissions was primarily due to lower transportation volumes and a decrease in air freight use. At the Iittala glass factory, carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by 19% compared to the previous year, partly due to the implementation of electric furnaces. The company continues to engage with suppliers to support their climate work and encourage them to set science-based targets.
