Progress against targets

GEA has made significant progress towards its net zero target by 2040. The company has increased its mid-term climate targets for 2030 and defined a new short-term target for 2026. By 2026, GEA aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 60%, and by 2030, by 80%. For Scope 3 emissions, a 27.5% reduction is targeted by 2030. These targets have been validated by the SBTi. GEA has introduced internal CO2 pricing to encourage climate-friendly investments and has made progress in carbon capture technologies, with practical applications already in use in the cement industry.
