Deutsche Telekom has made significant progress towards its net zero target. By the end of 2021, the company achieved 100% electricity from renewable energy sources for Scope 2 emissions. As of the latest reporting, they have reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 95% compared to 2017 levels. The company has also set a new interim goal to reduce CO2 emissions across Scopes 1–3 by 55% by 2030 compared to 2020. This is a more ambitious target than the previous goal of a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions per customer by 2030. The company has achieved 23% of its target to be net zero by 2040 and continues to work closely with suppliers to reduce emissions during production and product use.
