Progress against targets
ⓈCompany sustainability reportIn 2022, ISG's progress against carbon reduction targets stalled, missing their target despite implementing measures such as hybrid working policies, increased use of hybrid/electric machinery, and renewable technologies. The year ended with increased carbon emissions compared to 2021 due to increased workload and large-scale projects in rural locations, which increased reliance on generators and liquid fuel, impacting Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. ISG plans to set new Scope 3 emissions reduction targets once the 2023 baseline is recorded. They have continued to procure renewable grid energy and have expanded the use of HVO fuel. ISG is also involved in various sustainability initiatives, including Planet Mark certification, CDP submissions, and participation in the UK Green Building Council's Advancing Net Zero Programme. They are focusing on sustainability within the supply chain and plan to roll out carbon literacy training in 2023/24.
