Progress against targets
ⓈCompany sustainability reportBy 2025, KSB aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from its factories by at least 30 percent compared with 2018 levels. The company has already achieved over 50 percent renewable energy consumption for its electricity needs. A major milestone is the completion of a new heating station at the Frankenthal site, which contributes to significant energy savings and CO2 reduction. This project alone saves 3,700,000 kilowatt hours annually, equivalent to 900 tonnes of CO2. The heating station uses renewable heat from biomass and includes photovoltaic modules to further reduce emissions. These efforts are part of KSB's broader strategy to mitigate climate change and improve energy efficiency across its operations.
