Atlantic Sapphire has consistently lowered the use of marine ingredients over time, achieving a 0.4 feed fish inclusion factor (FFIF) and a 0.93 Fish In Fish Out ratio (FIFO) for 2023, making it a net positive marine protein producer. Despite an increase in marine ingredient usage from 0.75 in 2022 due to an increased Economic Feed Conversion Ratio (EFCR), the company remains a net marine protein producer. This progress is expected to improve as feed conversion becomes lower with steady state operations anticipated in 2024 and beyond.
