Progress against targets

Fresenius has set interim targets to reduce 50% of absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 compared to 2020 levels. The company is continuously assessing Scope 3 emission impacts for inclusion in their targets. The ESG target achievement in the long-term incentive (LTI) is measured on the basis of CO2 reduction, with a focus on reducing direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030. The progress towards these targets is regularly reviewed and evaluated, and further details on the respective targets are explained in the following chapters of their report.
