Progress against targets
ⓈCompany sustainability reportIn 2022, ElringKlinger continued its strategy for achieving carbon neutrality in net terms for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. The company switched its electricity supply contracts to green electricity at its Spanish site and offset 16,000 tons of CO2 generated from gas, the fleet, and air travel through compensatory measures. The total Scope 1 to 3 emissions remained almost the same as the previous year at 73,740 tons, with a reduction in CO2 emissions per EUR 1 million of revenue by almost 10% compared to the previous year, primarily due to the use of green electricity at some European production sites.
