Since announcing the Net Zero target, Paychex has undertaken various initiatives to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions. They track progress towards their GHG emissions reduction targets and report to relevant internal departments and senior management. They have also set interim GHG emissions reduction targets for 2030 and 2040, using FY19 as the baseline year. The company has implemented measures such as replacing HVAC equipment with energy-efficient alternatives, upgrading lighting to LED, and optimizing building ventilation and lighting schedules to match occupancy.
