In 2023, SLB achieved a 15% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity and a 13% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity from 2022. The company has implemented a comprehensive digital platform to track GHG emissions, which has been critical in monitoring progress. SLB has also introduced company-wide sustainability key performance objectives focused on emissions intensity reduction across all scopes. Despite improvements in emission intensity, overall Scope 3 emissions increased due to business growth in purchased goods and services and technology use. SLB is developing emissions quantification tools and piloting internal carbon pricing to support business decisions and evaluate new business opportunities.
