Progress against targets
ⓈCompany sustainability reportIn 2023, the Group made progress in reducing its environmental impact by replacing older freon-based cooling and refrigeration systems with CO2-based systems, which are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Additionally, the Group installed glass doors and covers on refrigerated shelves and counters to enhance energy savings. Scope 2 emissions decreased due to a reduction in electricity and heat energy consumption by 5.3 GWh and 10.9 GWh, respectively. The Group also initiated a pilot project to test low-emission diesel and expanded the use of electric vehicles and charging stations.
