Progress against targets
ⓈCompany sustainability reportIn 2022, SOGEFI's Group GHG emissions accounted for about 115 million tons of CO2 using the location-based approach and 110 million tons using the market-based approach. Scope 1 emissions increased by 10% compared to 2021, while Scope 2 emissions decreased by 16% using the market-based approach. The reduction in emissions is attributed to actions such as using a green energy provider in Canada, installing solar panels, and increasing the coverage of energy consumption with I-REC certificates. These efforts reflect SOGEFI's ongoing commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and progressing towards its climate goals.
